Lt. Barrett at "Drifters Reef Bar" on
Wake Island Pacific Ocean, 2000 miles west of Hawaii. In a C-124
a "one-days" flight! with usually a main engine (P&W-4360)
repair while there. In flight, engine caused emergencies were
common! Like every other Log / flight. Then the wings started
to crack in half due to metal fatigue, due to heavy hauling for
Viet Nam war - 1963 through 1967. |
